Black Sherif Honors Adane Best and Wins Top Prize at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards

The 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards held on May 6, 2023, at the Accra International Conference Centre was a night to remember. Although veteran musician Adane Best wasn't present, he was honored by the winner of the night's top prize, Black Sherif.

The rising star, who won the Artsite of the Year (AOTY) award, kicked off his acceptance speech by performing Adane Best's evergreen track, "Baa he otɛ." He also announced the release of his upcoming album and dedicated his victory to his parents, family, and the entire Konongo Zongo community.

Black Sherif's win was well-deserved, as he had an outstanding year, with his hit tracks and album topping charts across the nation and beyond. His unique sound and style, which blend elements of Hip-life, High-life, and Afrobeat, have captivated fans all over.

While fierce competition from Piesie Esther and other top artists like Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, King Promise, Camidoh, KiDi, and Joe Mettle made the award race tight, Black Sherif emerged as the undisputed front-runner for the prize.
