Media personality: Nana Yaa Brefo discuss Police Killing

Nana Yaa Brefo, a prominent media personality in Ghana, has expressed her outrage regarding recent reports about a police inspector who allegedly killed his partner due to accusations of infidelity and debt. She also criticized the deceased's mother for supporting and encouraging her daughter to exploit the suspect for financial gain.

The suspect, Ahmed Tumasi, who is said to be married with children, reportedly shot and killed his lover in front of her residence in Adum, Kumasi, after suspecting her of cheating.

The issue has garnered national attention and has sparked a considerable response on social media, with some users supporting the suspect and others condemning his actions and demanding justice.

During her show on Angel FM, Nana Yaa Brefo addressed the issue from multiple perspectives. She vehemently denounced the police inspector's killing of the young woman and emphasized that there is no justification for such an act.

Nana Yaa Brefo argued that if women also resorted to killing their unfaithful partners, men would be in a lot of trouble. She also acknowledged that while some women may spend money on their cheating partners, they do not resort to violence or suicide.

Overall, Nana Yaa Brefo expressed her disapproval of the suspect's actions and called for justice to be served.

“Men would’ve been finished in Ghana if women decided to kill for cheating. Whether politicians, pastors, judges, like by now they are all finished! Such rubbish! Women are equally spending lots of money on their men who cheat, have they been killed?” she queried.

She further criticized the mother of the deceased for allegedly approving of and encouraging her daughter to milk from the police inspector whilst they were dating.

“Some women are fond of encouraging wrongdoings. You know very well what your daughter is doing isn’t right but you were silent. You were even pushing her into it. I wonder what went on in the house during Christmas. I’m trying to imagine the gifts they received from the man. In Ghana here, I don’t know why we condone stupid relationships such as these. Look at the emotional stress he is putting his wife through,” she added.
